Foundations in Community Development School / Lecture Phase

The lecture phase is twelve weeks of expanding & challenging our views and of practical education emphasizing both the theory and application of truth in the following issues.

The course maintains a holistic perspective and focus on the Kingdom of God which, as a result, contributes to the goals and objectives of YWAM.  The course is built upon the Foundational Values of YWAM and it’s content and the way it is run. The mission's three emphases of evangelism, training and mercy ministry are united and integrated in the course and are necessary for successful community development ministry.

The Curriculum typically includes the following:

  • The Development workers growth and preparation
  • Biblical foundations for community development
  • Church planting
  • Culture and ministry
  • Development skills for the worker
  • Cooperation with officials
  • Management and planning for development
  • Networking and resource expansion
  • Basics in agriculture, primary healthcare & water resources
  • Basics in economic development & appropriate technologies

How much is the lecture phase?

The lecture phase fees are as follows:

Category 'A' Countries $1,950 (USD)

Category 'B' Countries $1,300 (USD)

Category 'C' Countries $1,000 (USD)
