Here is what some some of our former students are saying about the course:

  • My name is Debra Hernandez, I am from Guatemala and am 22 years old. I joined YWAM in July of 2010 doing the DTS in San Jose, Costa Rica, which is when God changed my life. After my DTS I went back and realized how hard it was to try and explain the change that had taken place. I had experienced God in a very personal and powerful way, yet I felt a need and hunger to know Him more. Doing the BCC has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life. The Bible Core Course gave me the basic tools to discover God's character and interpreting His word, allowing our relationship to grow deeper. I would describe the BCC as a quality time with your maker, with Him who wants to comunicate that deep love He has for you. It is impossible for you to read Gods word and understand it, with out it changing your life. The BCC is definitely a strong right foot start for your life-long journey walking with God.If you are thinking and praying about doing this school, be prepared for a rollercoaster ride. It's hard, it's exhausting, it's frustrating, it's exciting, and possibly the most important 3 months of your life. There will be tears and laughter, moments of hopelessness and moments of exhileration as God reveals Himself to you!

May God bless you!!

  • If you want to know the Bible and to know how to study it profoundly, the BCC is definitely the school for you. Before I did the school I was looking for a theology/bible school in a seminary to really get to know my Bible and put it to use in my own life and ministry. However, seminary  takes too long of a time period to get what I wanted. A friend of mine suggested the BCC and I researched the school and found that it was much like a seminary course. When I did the school it seemed like a condensed seminary program put into 3 months with a good all round basis for giving what you need for ministry and the tools to study the bible profoundly. I have other friends at seminary in the States who I have spoken to about the BCC. They are all impressed with the quality of the style of teaching that the BCC has and the way it teaches you how to research the Bible to come up with your own argument/conclusion.  The BCC can give you confidence in knowing your Bible, the knowledge of how to study it and the passion to study it more. You really do gain a very good understanding of who God is in relationship with you and how to explain and proclaim him to others. Through all this you will have a new injection of faith in your almighty God. Also, you will gain the confidence to work in your own ministry (whatever that is). In my example, I’m going to start bible study groups.
