Prerequisite: IDS 701 & 702 or IDS 703 & 704

If you answered yes to any of these questions then the Bible Core Course (BCC) in San José, Costa Rica, is the right place to be! It's what you’re looking for and will probably be the most exciting 12-week course you will ever do!

Come to Costa Rica and encounter God through His Word! Be challenged in your relationship with Him. Find your purpose in the Great Commission. Get the tools you need, and embark on this adventure with others just like you!

Join us for our next BCC, three months of digging deeper into God's word, understanding it at a new level, wrestling with how to apply it directly to your life and how to communicate it to a world that so desperatly needs it. This three months will change your life forever; a time set apart to allow God to overwhelm you; to penetrate your heart and mind with His powerful, living, Word!

What is the BCC really like?

In three months, you will read through all 66 books of the Bible, and come to know the structure and main ideas of each of them.
You'll inductively and intensively study 14 individual books in depth from the Old and New Testament - books that represent all the literatary genres (prophetic, poetic, parables, etc.) of God's Word.
You'll discover the history, culture and society of the Bible times, and understand the cultural background behind the books.
You'll see how God has revealed himself through scripture.
You'll learn and employ effective, creative and diverse methods for reading, observing, interpreting and applying the scriptures. Be involved in topical seminars, dramatic recreations, and extensive research.
You'll be trained to effectively incorporate God's Word into teaching, evangelism, worship and intercession, in a creative, Bible-centered, and contextualized way, and gain ministry skills as seminar facilitators, storytellers, preachers, evangelists, and
small group Bible study leaders.

Who is the BCC for?

You don't have to feel specifically called to be a Bible preacher or teacher, the BCC is for anyone who just wants to grow. It is able gaining the skills to study and apply the message of God's Word in every area of your life as well as to be able to clearly communicate that message to a dying world.

How much is this going to cost me?

We base our school costs on the Per Capita Income (PCI) of each nation. This allows us to cover school costs and make our schools affordable to students from various countries. To find out the costs for each phase of the school, please follow the "Fee Schedule" link to the left.

Prerequisites - Completion of the Discipleship Training School and Field Assignment (IDS 701/702) and Field Assignment (IDS 703/704).

Although the BCC is a complete, stand-alone 12-week course, it is designed to interface compatibly with the original, and longer, nine-month SBS (School of Biblical Studies)

Should a student so desire, they may proceed on to the second and third quarters of the SBS at any other YWAM location, upon successful completion of the BCC in San Jose, Costa Rica.
