Metro Ministries

Nearly 30 years ago, Metro Ministries pioneered a unique and effective model for reaching children where they said it couldn’t be done… in the ghettos of New York City.

With headquarters in the heart of Brooklyn, NY, Metro Ministries currently operates programs at more than 200 sites in New York City, as well as in the Philippines, Romania, and South Africa.

In 2007 Metro Ministries was birthed in Costa Rica and now is running 3 sites out of Ywam San Jose.

In Costa Rica we are approaching our fourth year of ministry.  After serving week in and a week out in the same areas we are able to see children grow up and either grasp onto the life changing message of the gospel or choose to go their own way. Our main challenge is to be very clear in offering a choice to living that is contrary to the world’s ways and help these kids daily have the courage to live out the Christian life.

Our relationships with the kids and the constant caring make a big difference in their lives.

In order for us to work effectively for a life-time impact in the lives of the children we are looking  for a committed volunteer staff that are willing to work long-term with us.
