Bibles for Costa Rica

The Vision
Our objective is to see the word of God placed in every one of the 1.3 million homes in the nation of Costa Rica. By going door-to-door with free bibles, we are able to minister to the hearts of the people while leading them into a deeper relationship with the Living God. Moreover, our bibles have custom reference materials providing each recipient with clear instructions about How to Study The Bible, How to Form a Home Bible Study Group, How to Read the Bible in a Year as well as a practical concordance so they can look up scriptures relating to common life issues.

Who We Are - The Body of Christ
Although this project is being overseen by a group of missionaries serving with Youth With A Mission in Costa Rica (YWAM), it is being carried out by believers from all over the world. More exciting is the involvement of church members who belong to a variety of denominational backgrounds throughout Costa Rica. We do not believe that man owns anything, including any ministry. Our role is simply to procure bibles and to mobilize the Body of Christ until the bible enters every home in the nation.

Get Involved - International Teams
A significant part of this project will rely on visiting teams from other nations (short term or long term).  This project offers visiting Christians an unparalleled opportunity to share their faith as they to minister to hearts of people in their home environment. Get Involved - Prayer Partners
Nothing can replace the power of prayer. We have seen alcoholics delivered, entire families reconciled, and countless salvations as we go door-to-door extending the love of God to people. Please pray for the safety of our teams, and especially, that the Holy Spirit will penetrate the hearts and minds of those we encounter as we bring the word of God to the people of Costa Rica.

Accountability Partners
Aside from coordinating the field teams, one of our primary functions is to monitor the bible inventories. To do this we are relying on government-issued census maps (newly updated in July 2011) so we can track and document the project accurately. We desire to implement the project with excellence and accuracy so that donors can have access to periodic updates as we account for every bible delivered to its recipient.
