Douglas & Karen Johnston

Douglas and Karen met and fell in love in 2002 and where married in September of 2003. A little less then 2 years later in July 2005 with a 9 month old in tow they headed out for Costa Rica attending the first ever DTS run by YWAM San Jose.

Since moving back to Costa Rica in 2007 (now with two little boys) they have attended language school and Douglas has taught in the missions department at a Christian University in San Jose. Douglas is currently is the school leader for the Biblical Core Course (BCC) recently planted here in Costa Rica. Karen is the personnel director at the base, a job with keeps her very busy and often makes her want to pull her hair out. Their two boys are in charge of running around the base like crazy and causing general mayhem, a job they excel at by nature.

Douglas and Karen have a passion to see Latinos trained up and sent out to share there love of Christ with the nations.
